The Wanneroo Show is on again this year with all the usual fun, activities and exhibitions that have made it famous for almost 100 years. This year will see several new and exciting events for your enjoyment.

The activities will include horse events, an animal farm, fairground rides, competitions, entertainers, exhibitions, side shows, races, displays, food, showbags, and many other activities and events to enjoy and in which to participate.

The fireworks displays held on Friday and Saturday evenings are always a major highlight of the Show. This year the fireworks will be bigger and more spectacular than ever, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Cedar Woods property developers.

Come on down to the Wanneroo Show Grounds located on the corner of Wanneroo Road and Ariti Avenue, Wanneroo on Friday 28th November from 4pm to 10.30pm, and on Saturday 29th November from 9am to 10.30pm and enjoy all the fun of the Show.

Wanneroo Agricultural Society President’s Message

This year marks almost 100 years of the Wanneroo Show, which has been a major local event since 1909. Special thanks go to the Show sponsors including Cedar Woods, the major land developers in the northern suburbs, HBF Health Insurance, and the City of Wanneroo who are Gold sponsors of the Show. Our thanks also go to the many sponsors of prizes awarded each year to winning exhibitors at the Show.

The Wanneroo Agricultural Show is run entirely by dedicated, hard-working volunteers. Others who lend great support include the Wanneroo Rotary Club and Apex. Both these groups take responsibility for vitally important aspects of the Show, while the exhibition stewards in the Margaret Cockman Pavilion work tirelessly to catalogue and prepare the exhibits for display.

On behalf of my family and the organising committee I wish all exhibitors and visitors an enjoyable 2008 Wanneroo Agricultural Show.

Michael Aspinall – President

Wanneroo Agricultural Society Patron’s message

Once again, it is my privilage and very great pleasure to congratulate the organisers of the annual Wanneroo Show, to commend all volunteers who contribute to its success - and to look forward to continuing enthusiastic participation by the communty.

As Patron of the Wanneroo Agricultural Society, I extend an open invitation to all to come to the 2008 Wanneroo Show, to be part of the celebrations that the district offers and, above all, to spend a little time enjoying the festivities.

Ray Halligan MLC

Message from the Mayor of the City of Wanneroo

The Wanneroo Show is one of the City of Wanneroo's favourite events as it embodies the City's heritage, lifestyle and spirit so perfectly.

The Wanneroo Show has always embraced our rich heritage and proudly showcases our first-class local produce to the Perth community. Since Wanneroo's market gardening industry developed, it has become one of the largest agicultural producers in the State.

I know you will enjoy the extensive array of events and attractions that will highlight just what makes Wanneroo so special.
