Exhibits and displays located within the
Margaret Cockman Pavilion

 

A range of exhibitions and displays are located within the Margaret Cockman Pavilion, including
exhibitions of craftwork, cooking, horticulture, art, photography vegetables and other displays
.

Fun for children
There are lots of reasons to take the kids to the Wanneroo Show, including just admiring their entries displayed in the Margaret Cockman Pavilion.
The Children’s Exhibition includes a variety of exhibition classes and displays such as Art, Cooking, Cake Decorating, Hobbies and Craft, Scrap-booking, Paper craft, Horticulture, Vegetables, Needle work, Crochet and Knitting, Photography, Stamp Collections, Woodwork and Metalwork and Miscellaneous Subjects for Children with Disabilities.
A range of awards, prizes and trophies are awarded for the best exhibits in the various classes on display. Entries are still being accepted up to and including Monday 17 November. However, no further entries will be accepted after that date.

 

Hobbies, Arts and Crafts
The Hobbies, Arts and Crafts Exhibition is held each year at the Wanneroo Show in the Margaret Cockman Pavilion. This year the exhibition will be open for public viewing on Friday evening the 28th November and all day Saturday the 29th November.
Sections within the exhibition includes, Art, China Painting, Hobby Ceramics Painting, Scrap booking, Stamping, Papercraft, Egg Artistry – Faberge, Beading, Decorative Art, Mosaic, Woodwork and Metalwork, Handcrafts and more for the Over 60s age group.
A range of prizes and trophies are awarded within the various exhibition classes, please refer to the Wanneroo Show website for details.
Entries are still being accepted up to and including Monday the 17th November. Exhibits must be delivered to the organisers and collected following the Show.

 

Horticulture
The popular Horticulture Exhibition attracts show goers to the Margaret Cockman Pavilion in droves to see the displays showing a selection of specimen classes including:
Roses, Carnations, Gerberas, Petunias, Gladioli, Delphiniums and other flowers, Variegated Shrubs, Flowering Shrubs, Plants in Flower, Garden Flowers, Perennial Flowers and Indigenous Plants. Also, Bowls and Vases, Natives and Floral Art.

 

Cooking
The Cooking Exhibition is another old time favourite of the Wanneroo Show and is held each year in the Margaret Cockman Pavilion and open for public viewing on Friday evening the 28th November and all day Saturday the 29th November.
Prizes and trophies are awarded in each of the cooking sections. Entries are open up to and including Monday the 17th November with exhibits accepted between 3.00pm and 8.00pm on Wednesday and Thursday the 26th and 27th November.
Classes within the exhibition include, Cake Decorating, Decorated Wedding Cake, Decorated Christmas Cake and Decorated Cup Cakes.

 

Photography
The photography entries are displayed in the Margaret Cockman pavilion on Friday evening the 28th November and all day Saturday the 29th November.
The photography exhibition consists of a range of photography classes, including,
Black and White, Study of Water, Portrait, Child or Children, Animal Study and Open Class.
Colour entries include Landscape, Study of water, Rural Working Scene, Animal Study, Individual Flower Study, Multiple Flowers, Study of Nature, Action, Night Scene, Indoor photography, Portrait, Child at play, Wanneroo District, Humorous, Family in harmony and Open Class.

 

Vegetables
The Wanneroo Agricultural Show has a proud history of exhibiting top class local produce, which dates back to the first Wanneroo Show in 1909.
The vegetable displays are held in the Margaret Cockman Pavilion, and are open for public viewing on the Friday evening and all day Saturday during the Show.
Individual vegetable exhibition classes include Tomatoes, Beans, and Beetroot. Carrots, Parsnips, Swede, Turnip, Radish, Capsicums, Chillies, Cucumbers, Onions, Potatoes, Mushrooms, Peas, Garlic, Zucchini, Squash, Courgettes, Gourmet Vegetables, Parsley, Mint, Basil, Oregano, Rosemary, Thyme, bay Leaf, Herbs, Spinach, Silver beet, Rhubarb, Leek, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Celery, Lettuce, Sweet Corn, Pumpkin and other vegetable varieties.
This year the vegetable judging will be conducted on Friday 28th November at 11.00am. A range of prizes and trophies will be awarded within the various exhibition classes.
All vegetables displayed will be auctioned on Saturday evening, so come along and bid for a great bargain. Proceeds of the auction go to worthy, local community groups.
Other Exhibitions include fruit, nuts and eggs.

 

Needlework Exhibition
The Needlework Exhibition is held each year in the Margaret Cockman Pavilion and is open for public viewing on Friday evening the 28th November and all day Saturday the 29th November.
The exhibition includes the following sections, Hand needle work, Dressmaking, Machine Embroidery, Patchwork, Appliqué or Quilting, Toys, Dolls, Crochet, Knitting (by hand), Hand Made Lace and other entries fro the Over 70s age group.

 

Jams, Pickles, Sauces, and Preservatives
The Jams, Pickles, Sauces and Preservatives exhibition has been held annually at the Wanneroo Show since the first Show in 1909.
This exhibition is open to the public each year in the Margaret Cockman Pavilion and is may be viewed on Friday Evening the 28th November and again all day Saturday the 29th November.
