History of the Wanneroo Agricultural Show

The first Wanneroo Agricultural Show was officially opened by Sir John Forrest on August 21 1909 following a resolution of the Wanneroo Road Board in 1908 declaring “… that Members of the Board form themselves into a committee for the purpose of forming an Agricultural Society to promote a Show in the district.”
Since, each year the Wanneroo Agricultural Show has showcased agricultural, horticultural and other associated industries within the Wanneroo region and has grown to become both the state’s largest Regional Agricultural Show and the premier community event within the Wanneroo region.
In 2017 the Wanneroo Agricultural Show will be held over two days, Friday November 24 and Saturday November 25th with over 1200 competitive classes in agriculture, horticulture, livestock, hobbies, arts, crafts and more.
