Horses in Action
Horse events have become a regular Saturday feature of the Wanneroo Show over the past years and with our experienced Ring Master Christine Foulds overseeing a programme of 4 Sections comprising of 141 classes, the 2011 Horse Events should not be missed.
Events kick off at 9.00am in Ring 1 with the Unofficial Breed Section, the horses are competing for Champion and Reserve Champion Ribbons in 18 different breed categories. With 72 classes on show there is something for everyone and it's not only the horses on show, with classes for Best Presented Exhibit and Handler for each breed.
From 12.00 noon there is a change of pace as the Show Horse Sections step into the centre arena. Unofficial Encouragement Show Horse in Ring 2, Show Horse - Pony in Ring 3 and Show Horse - Hack in Ring 4. With 59 classes, riders of all ages and experience can participate, and spectators will be taken back by the beauty and poise of these horses and riders.
Showjumping Events run throughout the day, watch the skill of riders and their horses or ponies as they are challenged by the show jumping course and the clock. All competing for Trophies and prize money in 8 different classes. There is something for every rider with classes for 45cm pony up to 105 - 115cm Horse and a D Grade Class.
Don't miss this year's special event; this will feature at the end of the Showjumping programme.
SPECIAL EVENT 6 - BAR
This event will keep you enthralled as the riders take their horses over a six jump course all in a straight line.
Pushing them along as the course gets higher and higher each round.
Get behind them and cheer them along.
Who do you think will win the Pony Class?
Who will take home the money in the Horse Class?
Horsemans Pony Club Inc is the official Pony Club of the 2011 Wanneroo Agricultural Show.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Horse event entries must be accompanied by a completed Dangerous Activity Acknowledgement form.
